DPDP & Data Protection Notice

Last updated: 15 July 2026

Draft for review. This document has not yet been reviewed by a person and is not legal advice. Finalize before it gates any payments.

This notice describes how SwiftURL, operated by Emplific, handles personal data under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP). It supplements our Privacy Policy. Placeholders in square brackets will be completed before publication.

Our role

For the personal data of your account and your use of SwiftURL, Emplific acts as the Data Fiduciary. When you process your own customers’ personal data using SwiftURL, you are the Data Fiduciary and we act as your processor.

Personal data and purposes

We process account data, link and campaign data, and privacy-preserving click analytics to provide, secure, and improve the service, and to meet legal obligations. Raw IP addresses are not stored, and unique-visitor counting uses a daily-rotating pseudonymous value with no cookie.

We maintain a consent record for your account. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.

Your rights

Subject to the DPDP Act, you may:

  • access a summary of the personal data we process about you;
  • request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request erasure of your personal data;
  • nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity; and
  • raise a grievance (see below).

To exercise these rights, contact our Grievance Officer.

Retention and erasure

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Account deletion runs on a reversible 30-day grace period before a permanent purge. Our audit logs are tamper-evident but permit deletion to honour lawful erasure.

Cross-border transfer

SwiftURL is hosted on reputable, encrypted cloud infrastructure that may be located outside India. The DPDP Act permits such transfers except to countries specifically restricted by the Government of India. We do not claim in-India data residency.

Security

We apply encryption in transit, encryption of sensitive secrets at rest, strict role-based access controls, rate limiting, and tamper-evident audit logging.

Grievance Officer

In accordance with the DPDP Act, you can contact our Grievance Officer:

We will acknowledge and respond to grievances within the timelines required by law.
